About Me

Olivia Nellis grew up in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, dancing from the age of three at local studios including DancExplosion Arts Center, a studio she now teaches at. She attended Slippery Rock University for her bachelor of fine arts degree in dance with a specialization in performance and choreography. At Slippery Rock, Olivia worked under many faculty members and guest artists, traveling to perform their work as well as her own.

Olivia had many opportunities to choreograph through SRU, setting pieces for dance department concerts, the music department’s Opera, and creating her own independent concert showcasing a series of her works. Before Graduating in May of 2019, Olivia was awarded the Outstanding Dance Choreographer Certificate. Olivia is currently teaching at DancExplosion Arts Center as well as Propel Charter Schools through Attack Theatre as one of their teaching artists. She is also creating new works to be shown in upcoming Festivals and showcases.
